ALDI Energy Assessment in Cannock – EPC
Commissioned by ALDI, Encon Associates conducted an EPC of their existing supermarket in Cannock, West Midlands
ALDI commission Encon Associates to complete an Energy Assessment of an existing store in Cannock.
With a working relationship going back to the very start of Encon Associates' conception, around 9 years now, the relationship continues with our latest appointment on the store in Cannock.
The store actually went up back in 2002, and has since had an extension and Solar PV (Photovoltaics) panels added to it's roof. PV is a a form of solar energy generation most commonly used to generate electricity directly from solar energy. In this instance almost an entire side of ALDI's pitched roof is covered in the panels, in order to improve the energy efficiency.
Qualified and Experienced Energy Assessors
Encon Associates will look to determine the energy performance (EPC) of this commercial retail unit, giving a rating displayed on an A-G scale, which will be valid for 10 years. SBEM (Simple Building Energy Model) calculations will be used to conduct the energy assessment and determine the energy performance rating, in turn producing the certification, known as an EPC.
