Abbey Road
An ongoing development in London’s East End, consisting of purpose-built accommodation for cultural and creative industries focused on the historic Malthouse and Granary Buildings, including over 270 residential units (in 2 phases) and premises for a mix of commercial uses on the ground floor. Planning permission was granted with a condition to achieve a BREEAM Retail Assessment “Very Good” rating.

Encon Associates were commissioned as BREEAM Assessor to carry out a Shell & Core BREEAM Retail Assessment, required to mitigate the planning conditions, and also to provide other services to meet BREEAM compliance including Green Lease Agreement and Green Building Guide.
Encon Associates BREEAM Assessors started work on Block A & B in order to establish what was required to meet the planning obligations and to also ensure the BREEAM Retail target and tight deadline could be met.
