Automatic Traffic Counters
For developments that experience greater volumes of traffic, we can install Automatic Traffic Counters (ATC) to collect 24/7 traffic information. Our ATCs use inductive tube technology to record the types, volumes, and speed of passing vehicles, which is essential for calculating 85th percentile speeds and visibility splays.
We can provide a detailed report of findings for issue to the relevant Local Authority to support planning applications, and offer advice on necessary design adjustments before construction begins.
Access Road Design
Every development requires well-designed access roads to manage vehicle movement to and from the site. Our Highway Engineers can design safe and efficient access roads for all types of developments that follow the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Local Authority guidelines.
